With homeownership harder to achieve, renters squeezed by rising costs, and safe and affordable housing out of reach, the time for real action is now. Kent has a proven track record of delivering hundreds of affordable housing units—and he’s ready to put that experience to work. He will champion innovative housing models, push for smart and sustainable growth, and bring additional rental units to market. Kent will work tirelessly to build a city where everyone—from first-time buyers to long-time renters—can afford to live, work, and build a future.
Calgarians are rightly frustrated by the growing social disorder affecting our inner-city neighbourhoods. Kent will fight for a balanced, pragmatic and compassionate approach that includes adequate policing, real investment in mental health and addiction supports, and housing solutions that actually work. He will bring all three levels of government to the table to build a city that’s safe, supportive, and respectful for everyone—whether you are experiencing homelessness or raising a family down the block.
A better future for Calgary starts with infrastructure that works for everyone. Transportation infrastructure and public transit are top concerns for Calgarians, and with good reason—our city is growing fast, but our infrastructure is struggling to keep up. Kent can get the infrastructure projects Calgary needs done, having delivered over $2 billion in funding to the Green Line, Tsuut’ina Trail, and flood mitigation projects as MP. He plans to ensure continued investment in Calgary’s public transit network, improved road networks, and planning that meets the needs of a larger, better connected Calgary. In addition, Kent will demand accountability when provincial decisions affect the lives of Calgarians and continue to advocate for an accessible Calgary for people with disabilities.
Calgarians want a city that supports local businesses, attracts diverse industries, and fosters innovation. Kent plans to leverage Calgary’s strengths in technology, energy, tourism, and advanced manufacturing—building on initiatives like the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund to help startups grow and bring new investment to the city. By diversifying our economy and investing in infrastructure, Kent aims to create a resilient future for all Calgarians. Supporting innovation and entrepreneurship will be critical to driving long-term economic growth and creating jobs for Calgarians.
